SCORE International now offers domestic mission trips! SCORE can now take your church or any individuals on a sports mission trip conducting sports camps/clinics around the continent of North America. We will be tying in with local church plants to assist them in reaching kids and their families with the gospel of Jesus Christ through a sports camp/clinic. Then after the mission trip is complete, the church plant will follow up with all of the camp/clinic participants and their families to help them with any decisions that were made as a result of the trip as well as assimilating them into the local church plant.
Why join SCORE on a trip? To have the most exciting, fun filled week of your life! SCORE mission trips offer participants a chance to travel, experience different parts of the country, experience different lifestyles, see the mission field first hand, and use the talents and skills that God has given them to make an eternal impact! You will be serving as a missionary to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who may have never heard it, while participating in the sport that you love. SCORE will organize, plan and lead the entire trip. All you have to do is raise the funds to go. SCORE will assist you in making this a simple process.
SCORE domestic mission trips will be one week in length. Typical groups will travel from Saturday to Saturday but that could change depending on the destination. Upon arriving at the destination, the group will have an orientation meeting to go over basic facts, rules, expectations, and the particular sports camp/clinic. Sunday usually consists of church in the morning and an outing in the afternoon. Monday is usually a day where we hold a carnival for the community to assist the church plant in reaching out to the community. Tuesday – Thursday or Friday consists of sports camps/clinics in the morning and afternoon. Friday or Saturday will be a day of sightseeing, souvenir shopping, and/or participating in a leisure activity. Saturday or Sunday would be the return flight back home.
This is a basic weekly itinerary for most groups. SCORE desires to give the group the best experience possible; therefore the trip is totally flexible and subject to change.
There are many lasting effects of a SCORE trip, both for the mission trip participants and the kids and families who the groupis reaching out to through the local church plant.
