An Amazing Day (Go Tell)

Go Tell
It has been an amazing day in Costa Rica! We began our day on the streets of San Jose passing out gospel tracts for area churches and distributing salvation bracelets to the children. The people were very kind and receptive to our efforts.
Next, after checking out of our hotel, we moved to our current location at the Nazarene Seminary. Amidst a rainforest downpour, we set out for an orphanage in a nearby city. Spirits were high and excitement was evident as we made a mad dash on our bus among the crazy traffic. Traffic laws here are very different from home. First come, first go! We arrived at the orphanage with no mishaps and disembarked. As we gathered, the children began streaming from all parts of the compound. They were very eager for our visit and won our hearts right from the start. At the orphanage, we sang a Spanish song for the children and Josh performed his amazing magic act. Then, Emily explained the salvation bracelet to the children, and Joe played “Jose Dice” ( Joe says) with the kids. They loved it! Sinclair Baptist Church performed a skit for the kids. For the next hour or so, we hung out with the children, helped make their bracelets, painted their faces, and loved on them! We were sad to leave them.
We returned to Score Villa and assembled lunches to pass out to the homeless. We distributed the food and called it a day. What a blessing!
