Delaware Grace Brethren Church
We departed for the kindergarten in the morning. We were welcomed by boys and girls with lovely blue outfits and big smiles and waves towards us. The group did a great job at working diligently at scraping and sanding the walls and then putting a coat of paint on. This took us most of the morning and most of the afternoon following lunch.
The teens really had a delightful attitude and all had a readiness to serve. They also loved saying “hola” to the kids as they peaked, out of their class, at us.
Following a delicious dinner we heard from Raymond, and he challenged us from Proverbs 3. To take care of our hearts, lean on the Lord’s knowledge and to simply be quiet and listen to God.
After our devotional time, we put a program together for our Vacation Bible School ministry Thursday, morning ad afternoon. Please pray for our time as students will share testimonies with students, Christ will be shared, and kids will be loved because He first loved us. We praise God for the example of BBS from our church family as we are using the same scheduling and we’ll be using craft supplies that were offered to us the Sunday before we left. Tomorrow we will be sharing Christ with 175-200 kids from ages 3-6. We praise God that He’s worked out little things in advance that He knew we would need. Like the craft supplies.
Pray for the ways God will use us with the kids and how we can see the face of Jesus in their face and be changed by it. Everyone has been getting along well and we are continuing to pray for unity and to be minded on the interests of others.
With Love,
Rhett Edwards
