Hillview Church - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
We have enjoyed working with the people here in the Dominican Republic. Monday morning, we went to Monte Cristy and played with the children. We also told Bible stories and gave our testimonies. That afternoon, we went to Jackie’s orphanage which is a home for children of prostitutes. Tuesday, we woke up and went to the girls orphanage in La Romanna. We were there two years ago and enjoyed seeing some of the same children. That afternoon, we went and played games with the kids in the village of La Cubana where we visited in 2006. We saw Pastor Santiago and was able to witness one young man give his heart to Christ. Wednesday, we went into Santo Domingo and passed out tracts. In the afternoon, our hearts were cheered and broken as we ministered to handicapped children in an orphanage. It was a joy to be with them but sad to leave.
