PBAU Softball - Tuesday
As a team, we had declared this to be an amazing, life-changing trip and today defined those feelings. We went to a village where we played with kids, sang in Spanish and in English, and gave them all the love we had. Ashley spoke today and did a wonderful job sharing Jesus with this poor village. These people were all ages and we had a lot of fun with them. Some of the girls played with bubbles, others were playing an intense game of basketball, some were getting their hair done, and others hugged and hugged and hugged. We then headed to an orphanage where a God-fearing woman (Jackie) runs the place. She takes in kids of all ages whose moms are prostitutes and are left in the streets or who are being abused. The children are beautiful. She teaches them about God’s love and educates them about life. She is being used by Jesus to bring these kids hope and a future. We danced, we sang, laughed, and we cried. It was an emotional day for all us…today was just indescribable! When we returned, we had our devotions and spoke out of John 14 and 15. God is talking to us about how we need to love one another and how about from Him, we can do nothing. All of us here from PBA have learned to become better women (and men - Kyle) of God, learned what really is important in life, and have prayed for the Lord to use us in mighty ways to further His kingdom. All of us have our own story about this incredible trip here in the Dominican. We leave to go home tomorrow and can’t wait to share our stories and show you how we have been changed. We thank the Lord for all He has done. Each of us (13) were chosen to come here and we are forever grateful! Â
