PBAU Softball - Friday
We are so happy to be here in the Dominican Republic!! We arrived last night and we were greeted by some wonderful people from SCORE. Our hotel is nice and we feel very safe!! They had dinner prepared for us and because we were so tired, we had an easy time falling to sleep.
Today we started our day at 8:00AM and we had a full day of excitement. We went to a very poor village where we played with the kids and shared Jesus with them and their parents. We sang some songs and played with them. We then got ready to play softball against a local team that had girls from ages 17-34..quite the range. We played two 5 inning games and had a lot of fun. It was quite the entertainment for the community and tons of people from all ages came to watch!! Cheryl shared a little bit about her life and how she came to know the Lord, using an interpreter. One of the people from SCORE shared as well and each of the girls had the opportunity to pass out tracts that share about God’s love written in Spanish. Afterwards, we took showers, ate dinner and then had a special time together to reflect on the day and talk about what we had learned even after one day. Kyle and I are so blessed to be here with the girls and I pray that we can all continue to be humbled and reminded that we are here to share Jesus with so many people here in the Dominican Republic. What an amazing day!! Please continue to pray for us as we bring joy, love and God’s Word to these people. We thank the Lord that He chose us to be a part of this wonderful experience.
