Cedarville Univ Womens Soccer - Thursday
Thursday:
Today we went to an all-girls orphanage to play with the kids and take them our gifts. There were probably 30-40 girls there and one boy, Jeffrey, who has a physical disability. He is there because it is where he can get the best care. We played lots of games and let the girls braid our hair, which they were pretty good at. We stayed for about two hours, and it was very hard to leave them. Some were clinging on to our girls and asking to go home with us. At least we know someone is taking care of them and they are getting an education.
After the orphanage, we had a clinic and a game. The clinic was held at a public stadium in San Pedro, and we only had about 40 kids, most of which were older. Our game was at the same location, and we played a U-20 club team. The game started around 6, but it started getting dark at 7, allowing us to “play under the lights.” Needless to say, the lights didn’t help much. By the end of the game, we could hardly tell who was on our team. The game ended in a 2-2 tie. We are undefeated in the
