Great VBS! (Washtenaw)
April 9, 2008
Last night we came up with a new strategy for VBS. We woke up refreshed this morning and ready to get to work.
After breakfast, we made our pass times for the kids. Half of the team inflated balloons while the other half made cross necklaces.

Once we were done, it was time for the beach. The group split and enjoyed some relaxation before the VBS.
We found each other’s strengths and successfully rounded up the masses at VBS. The church vibrated with songs, laughter and joy. The program was by far the best we’ve ever done.
Mr. Shields gave a short sermon and prayer, and then the carnival began. Balloons, bag juice and smiles filled the hill. It was a bittersweet end to a short love story between the North Americans and the Jamaicans.
Mrs. McKeel gave all of us sunflower seeds to plant as a loving reminder. They symbolized how we planted a few seeds through the ministry that could blossom into so much more.
The bus was filled with the buzz of reminiscing on the way back to the villas.
With our shirts dripping with sweat, we settled in, for a quiet evening after a full days work in the sun.
