Prayer Walk and VBS in Jamaica
April 7, 2008
This morning we did a prayer walk through Steer Town. As we invited children to VBS, we ![]()

saw a lot of poverty and dying animals. Lots of children stood around–not in school because their parents can’t afford uniforms. It was strange to see stray dogs because in the U.S. we keep dogs as pets.
In the afternoon we did our first day of VBS, It was HECTIC. About 290 children showed up looking for attention. Although we did a lot of planning for this, the amount of children threw us into chaos. We had to make things up as we went along. Overall it went well and the kids had a blast.

This has definetly been a learning experience. We’re looking forward to the next two days that we will have with the children.
